MoneyBook is designed with user privacy as its top priority. All SMS parsing, debit/credit ledger calculations, expense categorizations, budget analytics, and financial health metrics are executed 100% locally within your Android device sandbox. We do NOT operate background cloud servers that harvest, scrape, copy, or monetize your personal bank messages or financial statements.
MoneyBook requests READ_SMS and RECEIVE_SMS permissions strictly and solely to automatically detect financial transactional SMS alerts sent by registered banks (e.g. HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak) and UPI platforms (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, CRED). The on-device engine parses only the transaction amount, account number (last 4 digits), transaction type (debit/credit), and merchant description. One-Time Passwords (OTPs), personal conversations, and non-financial SMS messages are instantly filtered and permanently ignored.
MoneyBook uses Google AdMob (Publisher ID: pub-8571458761900255) to display non-personalized banner and interstitial advertisements in compliance with Google Play Developer Policy. AdMob SDKs may collect anonymous advertising IDs or device telemetry as mandated by Google AdMob services.
You retain 100% control of your financial records. You can delete all transactions, ledgers, categories, and cached data at any time directly in the app via Settings > Danger Zone > Delete All Data, or submit an account deletion request via our Data Deletion Request Portal.
